Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) explaining how much your mental health care will cost.

This applies to clients who are self-pay.

What You Can Expect at Oak Counseling & Consulting:

• You will receive a written estimate before services begin upon request.

• The estimate will include the session fee and an anticipated number of sessions based on your goals.

• The GFE will be updated if your treatment plan changes.

If Your Bill Exceeds the Estimate

If your bill is $400 or more above the GFE, you can initiate a dispute resolution process through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
